Windows XP errors, Help!?

Many of my system utilities aren't working. I can't search files or folders, it just displays a blank page with no search box. My system restore pops up as a blank page. My windows media player won't launch, says internal error. My internet explorer works, but won't display what version I'm using. My windows update pops up a blank page. What's happening?

Reformat your computer.
From what you've said your system is more than likely infected with malware(virus,spyware,etc..). There a few different methods you can go through for solving your problems.

1) You can completely erase and reinstall windows on your computer. However, to completely solve your problem with this solution the entire drive needs to be erased which means you will lose all of your personal data.

2) Take your system to a credible repair shop like geeksquad. Where they can check your system for hardware issues and rid your system of malware. Expect to pay at least $160.

No matter what soultion you choose, there are steps you will need to take to protect your self from this in the future.

- Get good antivirus software (e.g. Symantec Norton Antivirus, McAfee Antivirus, TrendMicro Antivirus,etc..)

- Get good proactive spyware protection (e.g. Webroot's Spysweeper, Microsft's antispyware)

Having these applications and keeping them up to date will definately save you from this problem in the future...at the very least soften the blow the malicious software will have on your system.
It looks like its time for you to reinstall your computer! Just make sure all you personal files are backed up on CD or another hard drive!
