I have a virus that redirects my homepage to another page. How to fix,?

I ran Norton, Trend Micro, %26amp; Windows Defender %26amp; all check out ok...however when I open my browser I am directed to a SPY WARE Fix site. I can type yahoo or msn in and get to the page without any pop-ups. this is annoying - does anyone know how to fix ?

Try scanning the system with more spyware SW. Also clear all Temporary internet files and cookies.If that doesnt help reinstall IE. If that doesnt help reinstall windows.
If you are using I.E. try right clicking on it, and on the first page there is an address URL. Normally it will be highlighted. Look at that and it will most likely have the page you go to in it. Just change it to which ever site you want to go to when you log on and click Appply and if you have no virus or spy ware changing that address, you should be ok.

U are probably infected by some browser hijackers

i had the same problem, but when i installed AVG (free/trial version) I done a full system scan and everything was back to normal
What you have is a homepage hijacker program. These are usually installed by SmitFraud Trojans. Smitfrauds require a specialized program for proper removal. These two sites address Smitfraud removal. Use either site or both (if necessary).
